Frequently Asked Questions
Company information
Questions related to company information on the site.
Where does the company information on the site come from?
The company information on Kontakto is sourced from multiple public sources, including the
Finnish Trade Register, the national Business Information System (YTJ), and other public
registers.
Is Kontakto allowed to display my company's information?
Yes. Information obtained through the Business Information System (YTJ) is public. The Trade
Register, for example, is a public register, and everyone has the right to access
information recorded in it. Therefore, as a rule, permission is not required to publish
company information from the Trade Register. For more information, you can read the guidelines on processing personal data from the Finnish Patent and Registration Office
(PRH).
The information about my company is outdated or incorrect. What should I do?
The information displayed in our service comes primarily from the Business Information
System (YTJ), unless stated otherwise. If changes need to be made, they must be reported
directly to the YTJ. You can report changes to your company's Trade Register information
online via the YTJ website. See the YTJ instructions on How to file address and contact details and How to report common changes.
I don't want specific information about my company to be displayed on the page.
Information obtained from the Trade Register is public. However, if you would like us to
hide certain company information for a specific reason, you can contact our support team via
email at support@kontakto.fi.
Is the service free?
Yes, the service is completely free. There is no charge for having your company's
information displayed on Kontakto.
